VII Theatre Review for People with Disabilities in Brodnica - A Success!

On September 23, 2025, the VII Theatre Review for People with Disabilities took place in Brodnica. The organizer of this wonderful event was the Środowiskowy Dom Samopomocy (Community Self-Help House) in Brodnica.

The review brought together approximately 300 participants from a dozen institutions from all over the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. The partners of the undertaking were: Brodnica County, Brodnica Caritas Center, Brodnica Cultural Center, and the National Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled People.

The opening ceremony was performed by: Mateusz Szafrański - director of ŚDS in Brodnica, Fr. Canon Grzegorz Bohdan - director of Brodnica Caritas, and Aleksandra Gierej - director of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Branch of PFRON. The County Secretary Marcin Pawlak conveyed greetings from the Starosta Paweł Szramka and Vice-Starosta Arkadiusz Orłowski to the participants.

During the review, the audience could admire various art forms, such as musicals, pantomimes, shadow theater, cabarets, and choreographic arrangements. This year's edition was divided into two parts - stage performances and workshops for staff and participants. Caregivers could participate in yoga classes and meetings with specialists, and participants developed their passions in theatrical, musical, artistic animations and first aid classes.

Mateusz Szafrański emphasized that the event could not have taken place without the financial support of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship and the patronage of Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The VII Theatre Review in Brodnica once again proved how important theatre is in therapy, integration and creative expression.
